Studing through correspondence

The institute provides an alternative to students who do not wish or are unable to devote one or more successive years dedicated only to study on campus. This alternative is: access to quality education through correspondence.

Most students by correspondence carry on other activites whilst studying. This can be an obstacle and in some cases they are even forced to discontinue. It is because of this that IESH decided to set up a system in which a student has the option to choose the number of subjects that he is able to complete within a year.

The official period of study is three years. At the end of it, the student receives a certificate in Sharia (Islamic theology).

It is also possible to register in correspondence at the Faculty for the memorizing of the Quran. Listening (which is a vital part of the memorization) is done through communication tools such as the Internet or phone. A recognized sheikh listens to the recitations on a weekly-scheduled basis.

• Studies at the faculty of Religious Sciences (Shariah):

In order to answer the questions of the student, a connection is set up (through phone, email, etc) with a teacher of the subject in question.

Midterm and End of year examinations take place at the institute in Chateau Chinon

• Studies at the Quran Faculty:

To listen to the recitation of what the student has memorized, a connection is set up with the teacher at least once a week.

An evaluation of the student will take place, at the end of each hizb (1/60 of the Quran), every five weeks.

There is an oral evaluation of the student at the end of the year over everything memorized (with a professor of IESH, or any other teacher approved by IESH).
